Fixing cosmological constant on the event horizon

چکیده
Standard cosmological equations are written for the Hubble volume, while real boundary of space-time is event horizon. Within unimodular and thermodynamic approaches to gravity, dark energy term in appears as an integration constant, which we fix at horizon obtain observed value constant.

The Running of the Cosmological and the Newton Constant controlled by the Cosmological Event Horizon
We study the renormalisation group running of the cosmological and the Newton constant, where the renormalisation scale is given by the inverse of the radius of the cosmological event horizon. In this framework, we discuss the future evolution of the universe, where we find stable de Sitter solutions, but also “big crunch”-like and “big rip”-like events, depending on the choice of the parameter...
متن کاملGauge fixing in (2+1)-gravity with vanishing cosmological constant
We apply Dirac’s gauge fixing procedure to (2+1)-gravity with vanishing cosmological constant. For general gauge fixing conditions based on two point particles, this yields explicit expressions for the Dirac bracket. We explain how gauge fixing is related to the introduction of an observer into the theory and show that the Dirac bracket is determined by a classical dynamical r-matrix. Its two d...
متن کاملHairs on the cosmological horizon
We investigate the possibility of having hairs on the cosmological horizon. The cosmological horizon shares similar properties of black hole horizons in the aspect of having hairs on the horizon. For those theories admitting haired black hole solutions, the nontrivial matter fields may reach the cosmological horizon and then extend beyond a universal critical point satisfying r > 3m(r), where m...
متن کاملIssues on the cosmological constant
Some issues of the cosmological constant or dark energy are briefly reviewed. There are an increasing number of observations that constrain the equation of state of dark energy more stringently and favor the time-independent cosmological constant. Then a plausible model of dark energy would be a theory with degenerate perturbative vacua in which its origin is explained by a nonperturbative effe...
متن کاملA cosmological ‘probability event horizon’ and its observational implications
Suppose an astronomer is equipped with a device capable of detecting emissions — whether they be electromagnetic, gravitational, or neutrino — from transient sources distributed throughout the cosmos. Because of source rate density evolution and variation of cosmological volume elements, the sources first detected when the machine is switched on are likely to be ones in the high-redshift univer...
